During my eclectic and creative journey through life, I helped my husband fulfill a lifetime dream of starting up a professional photography business. We both had the brilliant opportunity of attending an amazing year long photography business mentoring program, where we learnt practical photographic skills as well as valuable business guidance and support.
Whilst my husband continued with his 9-5 day job, I set up the business from scratch and worked hard to give BlueCloud Photography an entity and credibility to allow Mark to launch himself into the wonderful but very competitive photography world. He has now shot countless weddings and portraits and has even been published so he is one very happy bunny!
Along the way I discovered that I was pretty good at taking photographs myself and have shot a wide variety of different people, places and things alongside Mark and solo including weddings, new born babies, commercial/products, portraits, boudoir and fine art. And I am delighted to say that a very high percentage of the photographs on this website are one’s that I have taken myself.
I am what I would call an instinctive and intuitive photographer and happily leave all the technical ‘stuff’ to my other half, who is an absolute whizz. Where Mark is logical and practical, I am less so ... but I do have an inbuilt ability (and some may say talent), to just know when a photograph is right; and using texture, shape and form as a florist has undoubtedly helped me develop my ‘photographer’s eye’ and it is why I decided that Bouquets and Blooms needed a photography element in its’ business plan to help my fellow florists to improve their photography and showcase their work.
